Trials for the 2009-10 U/11 Academy took place on Sunday, September 27th in Newbridge and they were a resounding success for the league with over seventy talented boys attending with the standard of the trialists being very high.
As a result the following players have being selected for this years academy -
Paddy Harnett, Daniel Lyons (both Abbeyfeale), Jonathon Hyde, Luke Mackessy (both Adare Utd), John O’Shaughnessy, Darragh Ranahan, Cian Smith (all Askeaton), Ronan Hayes, William Sexton (both Athea Utd), Mikey Hickey, Edward Houlihan, Mark Storan (all Ballingarry), Anthony Barrett, Sean Brosnan, Killian Lynch, William Quaid (all Broadford Utd), Robert Bradley, Darragh O’Connor (both Creeves), Aaron Murphy (Glantine), Callum Leahy, Jason Leahy (both Granagh Utd), Dylan Corrigan , Dylan Finan and Arthur McCarthy (all Kilcornan), Kyle Hayes (Kildimo Utd), Colin Enright, Gavin Kennelly (both Killeaney), Darragh Breen, Kilian Brouder, Eoin Considine, Alan Murphy (all Newcastle West), Colm Foley (Old Mill), Evin Kelly (Pallaskenry), Tim Larkin (St Itas), Eoin Tucker (Shannonside).
NB - Please note though that those who did not make shortlist have every chance of being called up in near future to join the academy.
Academy Training - Training for the academy is every Sunday from 9.30am to 11am and this will continue at the same time every Sunday forthwith. Please note that for health reasons all players are required to bring their own drinking water to all future training sessions and any games involving the Academy.
