The 2010/11 Limerick Desmond Schoolboys/Girls League season kicked off on Thursday, August 19th with action in the U/16 leagues with the renaining start up dates as follows: U/10s and U/14s start on Saturday, September 11^th and the U/8’s and U/12’s commencing on Tuesday & Wednesday, September 14^th & 15^th.

U12's CLAIM ALL IRELAND FINAL SPOT

The League's U12 Inter League side made history this afternoon becoming the first side from the league to reach the All Ireland Inter League U12 Final.
Limerick Desmond were lucky to go in at half time on level terms, thanks in no small way to some excellent defending, Galway broke the deadlock in the second minute of the second half but the home side hit back almost immediately with Van Mambouna (Newcastle West) drawing the sides level and Lee Kelly (Askeaton) netting the winner with a well taken goal.
Up next for Limerick Desmond is the mighty DDSL in two weeks time.
The league would like to congratulate the team and management on a fantastic performance.
